Yvette has over 18 years of exemplary service, as a law
enforcement officer, with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
During her career, Yvette has had the opportunity of working and
supervising in the Corrections, Patrol, Investigations,
Dispatch, Wildland Fire and Aministrative Services Divisions.
She has been a field training officer in the Patrol and
Corrections Divisions and she has been an instructor for various
mini-academies over the years. Yvette has a great love for the
Spanish language and culture. Through personal experience, she
has seen how valuable it is for law enforcement officers to be
able to communicate with Spanish-speaking individuals. Since
2003, Yvette has taught other law enforcement officers Spanish
as an instructor with Rocky Mountain HIDTA. She holds a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish (cum laude) and a Bachelor of
Sciences degree in Psychology (cum laude) from the University of
Utah. Yvette is a proud graduate of the prestigious FBI
National Academy; Session #228. |
